WHAT ARE THE SKILLS NEEDED FOR AN MEP ENGINEER ?

Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services (MEP) are a significant component of the construction supply chain. MEP design is critical for design decision making, accurate documentation, performance, construction planning, cost- estimation, managing and operating the resulting facility.

Today is the world of architecture and building where complex buildings are being erected day by day taller structures has become the icon of development of a
country. As a result the construction industry is given great importance and there is a huge demand for efficient and experienced engineers in the field.

In Middle East there is a huge demand for experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineers on huge projects such as the construction of airports, hospitals, schools, shopping malls and such where central air conditioning system is applied.

In order to become an MEP engineer, you are required to have a solid background in terms of both education and training. In addition to having a mechanical engineering degree, there are additional skills that are required in order to become a successful MEP Engineer. We will discuss some of those skills down below;
